    • The history of "Isomorphism" is curiously enough rather tangled.
But anyway "Isomorphism" began in the unknown spring day of 2002 when Alexander Krajnev asked Anton Romanov aka Tosha to set his poems to music (it was in Aleksin, small town in Tula region of Russia). Soon Sergey Lysenkov followed Alexander. And then even Tosha began to write lyrics.
Tosha Romanov and Lyokha Bassist Burashnikov - beginning of Isomorphism...Several years was spent in unsuccessfull attempts to create the band. During this time through the crucible of "Isomorphism" (the name for the band appeared only in the spring of 2003 - it was invented by Tosha's father, mathematician) passed a lot of people (mainly their participation was only formal). However all this stuff has a result: an unplugged album "Not aim, but bliss" recorded by drunk Tosha with an untuned guitar (if you are interested in it - feel free to ask!). In spite of shitty quality the album is integral and appears to be the result of that period of band's development. It should be noticed that in that time "Isomorphism" was believed to be wider than just rock-band - it was the whole creative union. Anyway all this stuff had a few of sense.

Isomorphism at the TSU stage, December 2005)In the December of 2005 the new incarnation of "Isomorphism" (Anton Romanov - guitar, vocal; Ilja Belomytcev - bass guitar and Ekaterina Shardina - vocal) contrived to win the Tula State University contest as "the best band" and "the best patriotic song" (it was "Winter").

Isomorphism at Kromka Leta, August 2006In winter of 2006 "Isomorphism" for the first time became "the real band": Anton Romanov - acoustic guitar, vocal; Roman Medvedev - electric guitar, vocal; Ilja Belomytcev - bass guitar, vocal; Ivan Skorikov - drums. In this membership the band recorded five songs (including "Autumn" - the song of Moscow underground poet Zorky Glaz) and played three concerts (but only at the open-air "Kromka Leta" it was at strength).

It looks like at last "Isomorphism" began to transform in something sensiblу. But in the October of 2006 the band has collapsed because of incompatible creative views of its memebrs.
Former "isomorphists" made several projects such as "The lost elefants of Timbuktu" and "Gorod N" (now is known as "Ney-Mengu") which were more consistent with their ideas and Tosha went away into deep underground.

But in autumn of 2007 Tosha had found true fans amongst Tula musicians and revived "Isomorphism" in its modern form. First concert was again at the stage of Tula State University....
During the season of 2007-2008 "Isomorphism" became popular in Tula audience and in May of 2008 played even in Moscow. The participation in Tula musical contest for young bands "Molotnyak" didn't give to "Isomorphism" any prize because the jury said "You are already popular!"
In the autumn of 2008 Ilja Belomytcev came (back) to the band. Now he is a keabord player - his playing made "Isomorphism" songs even more stirring.
"Isomorphism" plays songs of different styles but now main (and growing) part are rock-n-roll, boogie-woogie and so on (including covers of "Twist and shout" and "Go down Moses" with another lyrics). But they also play heavy songs which are also popular among their fans.
In 2009 "Isomorphism" made an unplugged program which has successfully played several times in Tula.
And now there are three lyric writer in this band: Anton Romanov, Sergey Lysenkov and a new one - its guitarist Anton Shlapakov (though now "Isomorpphism" plays only one his song "Alkohol").
